Stover Lodge is a wonderful and bright venue. The staff is exceptional, and the owner is great. Make sure you stay in the suite with the view of the garden. They offer a work desk, coffee/tea making machines, and a TV set. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Torquay town centre, harbour, and seafront. The Foreshore, where you can eat lunch, is a 10-15 minute walking distance from the hotel. I will definitely be back when I'm in Torquay.
